WSDC 2011 in Scotland



Dundee, Scotland is the host city for the World Schools Debating Championship to be held between 16th to 26th August 2011.Cameroon has been offered the opportunity to participate for the first time to this global gathering for high school students with a team of 7 delegates (5 students and 2 coaches).

The World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC) is an annual English-language debating tournament for high school-level teams representing different countries. The World Schools Debating Championships celebrates and exemplifies the achievements of youth in the global community who strive to make the world a better place through open articulate communication and shared experiences. The first World Schools Debating Championships were held in Australia in 1988.
In recent years, the championships have involved teams from around 35 nations each year. 57 countries attended the event last year in Qatar. Other recent venues include Calgary, Cardiff, Seoul, Washington DC, Athens.
